Safe and Sound!

We arrived in Houston last night around 10pm. It was a relief to get here and get settled at Grandma and Grandpa's house (Brian's parents.) Aubrey did great on the flights and made lots of new friends along the way. She loves to smile at almost anyone who will give her some attention (eye contact and smiles.) We are happy to be in some warm weather and with family. Right now it feels like vacation. We feel really hopeful right now and are filled with peace. Thank you all for all of your encouraging words and prayers. We are so thankful for all of the support we are receiving.

I'm so glad you made it safely. I'm sure the warm weather is a nice change! It's snowing here...when will winter be over? FYI, Jennifer Sanborn is Ed's sister-in-law who lives in Connecticut (she left a comment on the last posting). We are all praying!

Matt & Jenny have kept us posted, and sent us your blog address. We will all be praying for little Aubrey and the 2 of you. We're sure sorry to hear this news, but our God is mighty, and He is in control of this and every situation. So glad you can be with family while also getting some great medical care. With love and prayers, Ronda, Marty & Aaron

Brain and Julie and Aubrey,
I wanted to share a prayer that a very close friend sent to me on your behalf:
"Dear God, Thank you for Aubrey--You made her and You love her more than any of us can. I know you will do the best for her. Lord, let the doctors have Your wisdom for a quick diagnosis and a quick recommendation and treatment plan. Plus a quick recovery, Lord, This little girl looks so full of life and she needs to be out there living it to the fullest. Lord, I ask for traveling mercies for this young family and for kindness to be given them from all they encounter during this trying time. Bless them and praise You for Your healing grace.. in Jesus name.
We love you and have tons for friends in Portland praying for Aubrey. Love, Auntie Judy

Bucks as a witness to 100+ teens @ ChangePoint Church, Anchorage.

Shared your story with about 100 teens at the Growing Deeper class today as a testimony of faith for young people to see you both, pushed into the margin of what you can't control or understand, as two radical followers of Christ that really believe in the promises of God.

It's funny to me a bit because of Brian's wanting to "be involved" with Growing Deeper... and now you fully are as a testimony of what it means to lean on God.

Love you guys,
Michael Tara & Nolan

Glad you made it to Houston safely. Please let me know if there is anything that we can do for your guys. Briana and I will be in Houston a few times this summer starting in a few weeks. PLEASE let us know if we can help. You guys are amazing people and awesome friends. I hate to see you go through this. God is awesome, works in mysterious ways and ALWAYS is in control. Continue to trust him and we'll all continue to pray for the three of you. Love you guys! Eric

We are so glad that you all have arrived safely in the Sugar Land area and Aubrey will be in the best of hands at Texas Children's. My cousin's baby girl has been under the care of TCH since December and her story is a true miracle. TCH is the best of the best. You are all constantly in our prayers and thoughts. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Love, Carey and Denis Graham

Hey Bucks! Our hearts were so broken for you guys when we heard. Just be encouraged that the Lord is strong and mighty and holds you in His hand! We are praying hard for Aubrey Ella, for healing and for wisdom for the dr's. She is such a sweet little girl, and we are praying for God's protection over her life. May God give you peace and guidance in this tough time. Let us know what we can do to help back here in AK. Love you guys! Robert & Jenny
